View Full Version : economic hard times are coming! Another depression!

I've been reading alot this past week about bank failures, plummeting stocks, recession, etc, and according to an article on cnn, the US may be headed for it's 2nd great depression.

Could it be coming soon? I'm having my worst sales week ever..
Search traffic for US visitors is down too & the positions are the same as last week.. Only one single sale this period across the board & it's a pimproll one.

I don't like this one bit.. I normally make enough sales to earn more than a corporate white collar 9 to 5.. and normally see more pimproll sales...This isn't good. I hate economic uncertainty...

Seems this economic uncertainty is hitting the adult biz too.. I posted domains everywhere for sale.. normally, domains will often sell, but these past 2 weeks, not a single domain sale.. everyone's hurting maybe?

I hope you have lot of money saved up because when it hits the bottom it is time to buy, buy and buy!

Everytime there is a hint of a recession, people start predicting the next great depression. And it could happen, no doubt, but more than likely it's a down cycle and things will pick back up. I'm not so sure porn is all that affected by down cycles in the economy, anyhow. I've actually seen a slight increase in sales, and a big increase in traffic.

Another "GREAT" depression is very unlikely according to various news sources including CNN. We might be in for an extended recession though.

There have been too many safeguards instituted since the great depresssion like deposit insurance, etc. for it to happen.

11 banks in my hometown closed this past week
In the immediate area, over 300+ homes have been foreclosed in 7sq mile radius over the last 3 weeks
In that same area over 1000+ homes have been on the market unsold for more than 6 months
Also in that same area, 18 companies laid off or downsized
In that same town, all public sectors laid off.. Police, fire, school department, public works, etc
Also in that same area 21 companies closed & went out of business.
